We recommend for the connection of a local PC (i.g. at manned synoptic weather stations) to use the Ethernet-interface of the Gealog SG datalogger together with a glasfibre adapter.

Cable lengths up to some hundred meters are possible. Problems due to potential differences and overvoltages between PC and measuring station are a thing of the past because of the 100% galvanic isolation.
