Gealog micro SG - Installation SIM card

The following components are required:
- Gealog micro SG Communication Module
- Nano SIM card
- Gealog micro SG tool set, consisting of hook wrench and hexagonal wrench 2mm
- Silicone grease to treat the sealing O-rings before screwing them together. We recommend the product "Dow Corning - Molycote High Vacuum Grease" for this purpose.
If a battery is present, it must then be reinserted, This again requires appropriate tape.
The steps for removing the battery are identical to those for battery replacement/installation.

Step 1:
Remove worm screw
The worm screw secures the bayonet lock of the cable base against twisting.

Step 2:
Remove cable base
Use the hook wrench to turn the bayonet to the "open" position and carefully pull the cable base out of the battery protection tube.

Step 3:
Unscrew the battery protection tube from the upper part and remove and disconnect the inserted battery.

Step 4:
- Unscrew the center piece with battery holder using the hook wrench.
Make sure that the cables and the connectors do not become entangled with the battery holder. - Pull off the center piece and thread the connectors through the recess.

Step 5:
- Unscrew the protective tube for the electronics using the hook wrench.
- Carefully pull off the protective tube. On cables and Pay attention to connectors.
- Do not touch the electronic board as far as possible (electrostatics).
Step 6:
- Insert the nano-SIM into the modem module as shown in the video.
The SIM card holder is located on the bottom of the modem assembly.
The contact surfaces of the SIM must point upwards. - The SIM snaps tangibly into the SIM card holder. If necessary, press down with fingernail or screwdriver.
Step 7 - Assembly:
- Reassembly is carried out in exactly the reverse order to disassembly.
- Afterwards, a functional test with the help of the GealogApp is recommended. (Terminal Emulation - Expert Mode - Test Report)
